"Let's not make everything about race."
Our entire society is structured from marginalizing black people and other people of color, so it's not making everything about race. It's simply stating patterns.
"I don't see color / There's only one race: human."
We have to notice each other's differences if we're going to talk about racism and the issues that stem from it. Our society doesn't work by ignorning race, so saying these things may seem nice but they aren't doing anything.
"Black people should stop [insert action here] if they want change."
Our fourteenth amendment says that everyone is supposed to have equal protection under US law. Yet, black people aren't treated with equal protection under the law. Things like gun laws and marijuana legalization don't protect black people if they partake in these activities. The issue is that people try to justify racial injustice by implying that black people do things to deserve to be marginalized.
If we acted as though everyone should be protected under the law based on their deeds, then no one would be protected.
